Apple A.I. Technology for the IPHONE 4s – SIRI
The new voice control technology for the IPHONE 4S is called “SIRI”. It is an Artificial Intelligence App that Apple purchased from SRI International for approximately $200 million a few years back. That is a grand sum for just an App. It is the Artificial Intelligence technology built into it that validates the purchase. Some of its features as an APP are: machine-learning, natural language processing, and Web search algorithms. As of now SIRI can check flight times, respond to tweets, or create an e-mail reminder. You can ask via your IPHONE 4S if you have a meeting scheduled for a certain day of the week. It will proceed to check your phone calendar and respond to you directly. It has been rumored that Apple purchased this App so that Google would have no chance of acquiring it. This App has been designed to Learn and Organize information it is given based on the patterns of the phone user. You can ask SIRI to look up specific information on the web and it will bring up the list of findings. You can ask it about the weather, to play specific genres of music and much more.
One important question that would be important for Apple to contemplate is the possibility of licensing this Artificial Intelligence App – SIRI to all cell phone companies. This would be a powerful way for Apple to market and sell software (SIRI) in the same manner that Microsoft does with its operating systems. Their earnings would grow exponentially if this could be pulled off effectively. The IPHONE 4s did not change dramatically except for the introduction of SIRI and the I-Cloud technology. If this technology can not be easily duplicated by other cell phone companies why not license it to them? Apple usually has reliability built into all of its products. Sounds like a possible future for this newly owned and developing Apple technology.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
