SPIKE LEE: New Movie: RED HOOK SUMMER!
Spike Lee continues to expand his growing body of work with his new movie RED HOOK SUMMER expected for release Summer 2012. Another Spike Lee Joint in which he is both the director, and writer. The stars in this movie include:

The story is partially based on Spike Lee’s own history of living in Atlanta and Brooklyn. It is about an adult from Atlanta who comes to New York and spends the summer in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. In this movie Spike Lee uses the name Mookie again, even though there is no direct relationship to “Do The Right Thing” with this movie. The movie finished filming in August 2011 and is currently in post production. The tagline for this 40 Acres and a Mule Production is: “Burning Up Da Summer 2012”. As a technology note the movie was shot using Sony F-3 cameras.
Spike Lee History:
Spike Lee attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts graduate program. Spike Lee began his writing, directing and producing career with 3 student films which include:

- JOE’S BED STUY BARBERSHOP: WE CUT HEADS – (1982) (Note: This was Spike’s thesis film which allowed him to win a Student Academy Award in 1983)
