The new show VISIONARY on the OWN network presented by Oprah Winfrey takes a journey into the creative minds of great achievers. The first episode details writer, director, actor, producer: Tyler Perry talking about the story of his life and his explosive success. This is a must watch episode. Tyler Perry talks about how writing and working has served as a healing for the pain he has experienced in his life. He speaks about growing up in New Orleans and leaving home in his early twenties. The most important thing that comes across in this episode is that there was great focus, will power, and dedication necessary to live in his dream up to where it is now currently unfolding. He went through a period of trials, tribulations and learning which seemed like apparent failure. He eventually had a breakthrough. This was the start of his current life and journey. It seems as though the success is now coming so fast that he is rushing to catch up with it. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful feeling? He speaks of how he constantly dreamed of being in a happier place than he was at the time. Actually he was unknowingly visualizing and working himself into his current REALITY. The episodes are designed for the Visionary to narrate the show in their own speaking voice. It is quite obvious that Tyler Perry was absolutely prepared when the bell of opportunity rang for him in his life. It seems as if the suffering, trials, tribulations, hard work, and therapeutic intense writing were actual stair steps leading him to the success he is now experiencing. He had to walk in his dream until it became reality. He advised people to keep their dreams alive, have no fear, don’t give up and move forward.
We get a chance to see Tyler Perry’s studio in Atlanta with all of the model (scene) buildings. He takes us inside the facilities which house a production studio, rehearsal studio, gym, chapel, offices and much more. He even shows us his beautiful home. The important thing about this is that with all of the success he has achieved he still seems to be working as hard as ever. Success is not always glamorous, so being prepared and ready to work hard when great opportunity comes your way is absolutely important. We all have to make sure that we have great quality control when it comes to our gifts. We have to strive for a level of excellence. When watching Tyler Perry’s films, we can tell he has love for humanity & hope for the human condition and its eventual outcome. Great stuff!
