New Product: GALILEO Remote Pan for the IPHONE!

The GALILEO is a new motorized IPHONE holder that enables the user to pan and tilt the phone by remote.  The IPHONE 4S has an on board camera, microphone, and speakers that are very high quality.  This has made the IPHONE a popular choice for video conferencing.   The GALILEO will allow for the IPHONE to be used in the boardroom in that its images and position can be moved with a fluid like motion that will allow you to pan the room if necessary.  With the new GALILEO you can pan and tilt the phone 360 degrees.

The GALILEO was created by the inventors of the Gorillapod which is a flexible tripod.  In order to  effectively use the GALILEO the individual receiving images puts their IPHONE in the device.  The individual that placed the call would use their device whether it be an IPHONE, IPAD, or Web Browser, to pan or tilt the IPHONE using a touch screen interface or even a mouse.  As stated earlier the GALILEO allows for the smooth yet fluid, motorized 360 degree pans and tilts (of visual images) which could eventually find a use with certain types of film projects.  The inventors of the GALILEO are creating APPS that will allow the GALILEO with the IPHONE to make more complex movements including slow pans that could be used for certain video projects.

Some of the other uses for the GALILEO could include baby monitoring, video conferencing classes, or even photography.  The GALILEO comes with a software developers kit so a user can combine the device with APPS that are preexisting.  This software developers kit can allow for completely new APPS to be developed for it.  You can “power up” the GALILEO by using a USB cable or by using a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.  The battery when fully charged can allow for between 2 to 8 hours of use per charge depending on how the GALILEO is used.  The GALILEO is also a charging dock for the phone once it is plugged into it.  This product has just moved beyond the development stage.  The GALILEO absolutely looks like it can help to revolutionize the use of the IPHONE by giving it amazing flexibility in terms of range and motion.  The IPHONE itself has become a standard in the development and selling of smart phones.  Hopefully the GALILEO arrives on the market completely bug free with no glitches.
