MEN IN BLACK III is the 3rd edition of the science fiction blockbuster film series that was originally based on the Malibu comic book story.  This movie will be shot for viewing in 3D.  The director is Barry Sonnenfeld with Steven Spielberg as Executive Producer.  The release date for MEN IN BLACK III is May 25, 2012.  Filming took place in New York City, the Bronx, and Coney Island, Brooklyn.  MEN IN BLACK III features the following actors:

  • Will Smith as:      James Darrell Edwards III / Agent J
  • Tommy Lee Jones as:     Kevin Brown / Agent K
  • Josh Brolin as:     Young Kevin Brown / Agent K
  • Rip Torn as:      Chief Zed
  • Emma Thompson as:     Agent O
  • Nicole Sherzinger as:      Lily
  • Jemaine Clement as:      Boris

The budget for MEN IN BLACK III is $215 million.  The score for this film was composed by Danny Elfman.  The film will be distributed by Columbia Pictures.

The plot entails Yaz (the villain in this film) time traveling back to the year 1969 with the intent to kill Agent K.  Somehow this action sets off a chain of events that could possibly end the world.  Agent J (Will) travels back in time and hopes to prevent the ending of the world.

Will Smith has definitely come a long way since his original hip-hop song: “Girls of the World, Ain’t Nothing But Trouble”.  He has grown and matured as an actor and business man.  He has been able to transfer his career from the hip-hop stage (in his life) to act in films budgeted at $215 million like MEN IN BLACK III.  Currently there is much to say about the family life of Will Smith in the media.  In terms of how a goal or dream can start from a small seed and blossom into a giant tree that is still bearing fruit, Will Smith’s evolution should teach us to seize the moment and sustain it.

  1. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my cousin were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a book from our local library but I think I learned better from this post. I’m very glad to see such great info being shared freely out there…
