Quincy Jones and Red One (Producer for Lady Gaga) have come together to produce a familiar hit.  Quincy Jones is now the Producer & Executive Producer of an ensemble recording of 24 top Arab Artists from the Middle East and North Africa.  These artists are singing the song “Tomorrow/ Bokra” which was originally on the “Back On The Block” album sung by Tevin Campbell.

Quincy Jones, producer of the Grammy winning album “Thriller” and top single “We Are The World” along with Badr Jafar an Emirati Social Entrepreneur formed the Joint Venture: The Global Gumbo Group.  The Goal of the Joint Venture is to create multi-media opportunities in all entertainment genres which include: music, film, television, publishing and more.  The “Tomorrow-Bokra” single is actually an Arabic reworking of the Quincy Jones original version Tomorrow (A Better You, A Better Me).  A top Lebanese singer Majida El Roumi wrote the Arabic Lyrics in the song.  Grammy nominee Akon sang on the track as well as Shakira who being of Lebanese descent recorded the intro to the music video.  All of the funds raised from this song will support educational programs  in music, arts and culture for children throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

Quincy Jones continues to use his musical talents to assist in raising awareness and funds for those who are less fortunate.  That is the real reason for having a talent.  But giving something back when you do become successful makes the expression of your art have a greater impact on society and human beings in general.
